I can’t wait for the 718 and/or 981 to depreciate even more in the next 5 years. Somehow I will have one in a driveway in the next 5 years! BET on IT !!

I’ve only seen 1 since they were released, it was the Boxster version . It looked great and sounded great.

Every time I expect a Porsche I like to depreciate to the point of NP, the prices skyrocket to FU-CP.

I really wanted a 930, to relive m y childhood, but I’ll probably d ie without having ever driven one at this point.

Aspire t o own in next 5 years:

Replace Navigator L with new GL450

Replace 7 series with newer 7 series

Replace CLK with a 6 series grancoupe.

Keep SS as is

A 981 S manual is definitely on my list. In 4.5 years, my oldest will be driving, helping shuttle his siblings, which should open things up for me to have a much less practical car.

I’d love to pick up a lightly used ‘19 Miata in 5 years for ~$15k.

I need to get a drive in a GT350 to see if I could live with it on a regular basis.

See the 718 is blasphemous as fuck in purist eyes, so I’m gonna hop on that bandwagon before they all realize what they’re missing out on because “muh flat-6 naturally aspirated feels”.

Next 5 years I’ll have a GT350, I’m almost certain. I might even rent a V6 S550 just so I can say I’ve spent time with every engine.

From what I’ve heard; cars that are fixed are good to go. I guess if I had money in my hand and were shopping today the rational part of me would probably argue pretty hard for a WRX butttt in my heart I really want an RS.

On the Porsche topic, I would definitely love to have a Cayman S . But I dont see that happening in the next 5 years. Someday though for sure. Would basically serve the same role as my Miata but would ideally be in much nicer shape. Seeing as I dont have room for redundant vehicles and I would never rid myself of a Miata, that will take much longer to accomplish. I could forsee being in the housing market within 5 years though and ending up with a further commute than I currently have. And that would necessitate buying a cheap beater to commute in. I would love that to be a Lexus SC300 or maybe like an Integra. No idea, but it cant be totally boring!

I agree that everyone should drive/have a 981 Cayman (S). They’re incredible cars, the best I’ve ever driven in fact. I hope you achieve your goal! Butttt t I hope you just make more money because I have to vote against depreciation because I'm biased lol

991.1 C2S. Hopefully when the 992 come out prices dip just enough for me to pull the trigger. I’m one of those flat 6 or nothing people. I’ve owned enough 4 cyl. Engines that arnt that special. The 991.1 is amazing and the interior will feel modern for years to come.

A GT 350, An M2 or a 718 would be great. The Porsche dealer near me had a flat grey 718 for the longest time. But I can’t afford anything like these right now. :(
